BYRON IN THE BAY – Surf Photography

Byron Bay, the most easterly point of Australia’s main land, is based around a unique headland surrounded by beautiful beaches. Surfers have been drawn to Byron Bay increasingly over the past 60 years due to the abnormally nice conditions at The Pass, Watego’s, and Cosy Corner. Throw in Tallows, Suffolk, Broken Head, Clarkes, The Wreck & Belongil and you’ve got an impressive range of options to suit all. Nowadays it’s not uncommon to see over 100 surfers at The Pass on a nice summer day.

The stretch between Main Beach and The Pass would surely have to qualify as one of the single best stretches of sand on the planet.— Northern Star
